Kevin Cooke joined Templeman as an Associate Lawyer in 2015. Kevin is a member of the firm’s Litigation Group and he practices primarily in the areas of insurance defence and civil litigation.
Kevin obtained his Bachelor of Arts (Honours) from Queen’s University, as well as his Master’s Degree in Social and Public Communication from the London School of Economics and Political Science. Before obtaining his law degree, Kevin worked as the Press Secretary/Communications Advisor to the Minister of Community and Social Services. Kevin obtained his J.D. from the University of Windsor in 2013.
Kevin provides support to the Templeman’s Litigation Group, with a particular focus on insurance matters and general civil litigation. Kevin routinely appears on Motions in the Superior Court of Justice and he has appeared at the Ontario Court of Appeal. Kevin provides strategic advice to his clients on all civil disputes and he works with his clients to develop strong litigation strategy in a cost-effective fashion.
Prior to joining the firm, Kevin articled at a mid-sized Bay Street firm. He has been a board member on various local boards in the Kingston area and he is presently Vice-President of the Frontenac Law Association. Kevin is a member of the Law Society of Ontario, the Canadian Bar Association, The Ontario Bar Association and the Frontenac Law Association.
